Affiliate Programs, also known as partner networks, are online programs for sellers where they can advertise the conditions of potential distribution partners. The distribution partners (also called Affiliates) are willing to distribute the products of the original sellers via a variety of possible ways. They act somehow as middlemen and the remuneration for the distribution partners is arranged within these Affiliate Programs and it’s usually on a commission basis. Usually, the period of time for the ads, the amount of the screening of the adverts, the amount of new contacts or the amount of the ordered goods is the essential factor for the remuneration. In some cases, it is even just all about the number of clicks, so called PPC (Pay per Click), and there is a huge variety of other agreements, always just depending on the stipulation. Consequently, there is a direct exchange: customers for remuneration.
The Affiliates connect customers with sellers, get their fees and do not really have any expenditure of energy. The higher the traffic on the webpage, the more potential customers can be reached and the higher the commission. Thanks to Affiliate Programs, affiliates make money with almost no work at all and sellers get another channel of distribution. The big advantage for seller is that this new distribution channel only costs money when the sellers makes even more money. Regarding Amazon, the Affiliate Program is called Amazon Associates. This program provides a unique way to earn money and reach more customers in an easy and quick way.
