08.02.2017: Amazon sent out an email to its sellers regarding some changes of the fulfilment fees, it had the title “Change of Fulfilment by Amazon fees when inventory storage is limited to Germany”.
In this email, Amazon explains how they operate with currently more than 30 fulfilment centers across Europe and how an excellent delivery experience for their customers is provided.
It was explained that they wish to maintain and further improve their efficiency and speed and to accomplish this goal, it is important for them that inventory can be placed across the entire fulfillment network – including Poland and the Czech Republic.
Amazon “encourages” their sellers to store and process their German FBA inventory in Poland and the Czech Republic too by raising the fulfillment fee from additional 0.25€ to additional 0.5€ per FBA unit shipped from German fulfilment centers. The new price comes into effect on April 11, 2017.
To be exempt from this fee, sellers must participate in the Fulfilment Network Expansion (Central Europe Programme), authorizing Amazon to store and process German FBA inventory in Amazon’s fulfillment network including Poland and the Czech Republic.
VAT registrations in Poland and the Czech Republic are mandatory for the participation. Sellers must also observe distance selling and Intrastat thresholds.
With our new PL and CZ package, you can activate FNE and be reassured, that we take care of your VAT in Poland and the Czech Republic.
This might safe you thousands of Euros. For example if you are selling 2000 items per month, which are fulfilled from a Germany warehouse, that is already 1000€ per month.
